I especially enjoyed seeing Devlin’s transformation from a bored rake to a man who was able to see through Christiana’s eyes how important everyone at the abbey and village are, and to grow to love them as she does. Christiana’s desperation to keep her secrets is so strong that you can feel it leap from the pages. Love, when it is finally revealed, is so beautifully written that I had tears in my eyes. The author is a master with words and at creating just the right scenes while leading the reader through a maze of secrets, lies, and clues until the reader reaches the long awaited conclusion. Ms. Bilsky has outdone herself with this story and I look forward to reading more books by this author when they are available."

"Ashley Kath-Bilsky has written an historical romance of the highest caliber. This reviewer was fesseled to the pages, fell in love with the hero and was cheering for the heroine all the way through. The plot is exciting and moves along at a good pace. The characters are multi-dimensional and the secondary characters bring life to the story. Sexual tension rages through this story and Ms. Kath-Bilsky gives her readers a breath-taking romance. The love scenes are sensual and very romantic. This reviewer was very pleased with how the author handled all the secrets. Sometimes it can be very frustrating for the reader when secrets keep tearing the main characters apart, but in this case, those secrets seem to bring them more together and both characters reacted very maturely when the secrets finally came to light.
